A rather disappointing turn out for the Evening Run, seven stalwarts ventured on the route, getting a little damp as they passed the mid-point. Thanks to all who supported the evening.

16th August is Club Night at the Shires.
20th August is the Mystery Run, 80 miles, start at the Happy Café, Sandtoft Airfield,DN19 1PN. Food and Fuel available at start and lunch stop.
Carvery at £6.00 at Lunch, no entry fee.
An excellent attendance at the may club night was entertained by an informative talk given by M Dawson on Non-Destructive Testing.
July sees the 2nd attempt at a mid-week day run, on the 12th, starting at Caenby Corner Café at 10.00am, please turn up if you can, new events can take a while to pick up, but a good attendance would be nice.
Club night is a noggin and natter, hopefully there will be good weather and motorcycles can be used.A social run to view the Golden Era run is planned, see web site for details.
A quiet month in March, but we should be well into the riding season by now.
The Pre 40’s Run is on the 7th May, it will assemble and start from Sturgate Airfield, nr Gainsborough, DN21 5PA. This is a run of some 50 miles, starting at 10.00am and returning to Sturgate Airfield. All welcome, though primarily for the older machines.This months club night has a talk on Non-destructive testing, by Mr M Dawson, sure to be interesting.
On the February club night a fascinating talk was given by Mr Bob Fish on the Battle of the Somme, concentrating mainly on the local men that were involved, he kept the section absorbed in the human story of this historic conflict.
April club night, 19th April, is What to do with an accident, with instruction from the emergency services, vital for all active members.April 9th sees our first run, The Bluestone Heath Run starts at Stanhope Hall car park, Horncastle, LN9 6NF, at 10.00am. All welcome.

Boxing Day run assembles at Market Rasen Market Place as usual, hopefully the good weather enjoyed in recent years will return and we have a festive assembly.
Early January features the Classic Bike Show at Newark Showground, we have a joint stand with South Lincs and Peterborough section to promote the VMCC, come and have a chat.
For the January meeting we hope to have Mr George Beale and his unique Lynton race motorcycle, circumstances permitting. Keep an eye on the web site for updates.

November featured a busy auction, most items finding a new home, with a useful contribution to section funds being raised.
Our first outing of the NewYear is to Newark Classic Bike Show, at Newark Showground, on the 7/8th January, come along and have a chat, our stand with the S. Lincs and Peterborough section is in the main hall.
We are still hoping to see Mr George Beale and the Lynton in January.
The 3rd of February is our Social Evening at the Shires, tickets are available now, from the Treasurer or Chairman, this promises to be an excellent evening, do not miss out!
The 15th February club night is a talk on the Battle of the Somme, by Mr Bob Fish. This talk stresses the role of local troops in this conflict.
