The route left the old Humber Bridge viewing area car park at Barton upon Humber turning past the Old Tileworks, which has a very nice restaurant should you have need of some sustenance, onto the main Barton Road then down the hill into South Ferriby before turning off before Winterton into West Halton, Alkborough, Burton upon Stather & Flixborough into Gunness.

Crossing the A18 just before Keadby Bridge before turning into Burringham, carrying along the Trentside through East Butterwick to Scotter. From there heading to Scotton then on the Kirton road turning to go past the Shires at Gainsthorpe where we have the monthly meetings, then into Hibaldstow & arriving in Brigg for a stop in the town centre car park. Unfortunately for a usually busy market town most of the food shops were closed so Tesco sandwiches saved the day for some.

Leaving Brigg the route went via Cadney along the side of the River Ancholme into Howsham then Searby & Grasby, through Bigby village to meet the main road to Humberside Airport before turning almost immediately left for Burnham which ran us onto the scenic escarpment road back to Barton. Not being on this quiet road for a long while the writer was reminded of what a great view there was from there. The remaining few of the original group arriving back at the start for the usual post event natter.

Thanks to the organiser for another great day out in North East Lincolnshire.
