Mystery Run

The weather was kind to us for this year’s run & with the best turn out yet the 23 riders left the Happy Cafe on Sandtoft Airfield back through Belton heading towards Epworth where the route turned again past the new show field & onwards to Wroot.

Once through Wroot we passed the old Rocket Site near Misson which at one time in the Cold War days had a large number of missiles pointed towards Russia, fortunately days long gone. Having passed through Misson it was onwards to Bawtry riding through the centre which was unusually quiet for a Sunday then via Scrooby & Ranskill to Torworth where after some 25 miles there was a coffee stop for those in need.

Leaving Torworth Grange the route went into Barnby Moor then turning towards Ranby before turning left adjacent to the large prison. From here it was via Morton to Ordsall, Sutton, Lound & Mattersey arriving at the lunch stop in Everton at The Yurt Cafe.

After thanking them for their efforts we set off again via Drakeholes, Wiseton & Clayworth arriving at Gringley on the Hill where the route went via the back roads of Gringley Carr, skirting Misterton then following the Trent before turning inland just after Gunthorpe. After riding through the back roads of Westwoodside & Haxey the route went back towards Epworth turning to Sandtoft before arriving back at the Happy Cafe.

Another grand day out in Lincolnshire plus a bit of Yorkshire & Nottinghamshire.
